Journey to the Treehouse
For my Project and Portfolio IV class, I was tasked with creating a non-linear level over four weeks. The level needed three paths to take that all go from the start to the end of the level, and all playable space needed to fit inside of a small specific area.
There needed to be one required objective and three optional objectives for the player to complete. I also needed to come up with my level mechanics and had the choice of making player mechanics. Genre, story, and setting were all left to my discretion, so there were a million different ways that I could have gone with this project.
In the end, I settled on a third-person adventure genre where you play as a kid journeying through a forest to reach a treehouse.
